In 1599 The Theater was created in London, England

  • The Globe was built using timber from an earlier theatre

  • The evidence suggests that it was a three-story, open-air amphiter approximately 100 feet (30 m) in diameter
  • The Globe, built by carpenter Peter Smith and his workers
  • This theatre could hold several thousand people
  • Not one inside picture of the old Globe Theatre is in existence

I think the globe theater is important because it was a work of art that took lots of time to build. Also it could hold thousands of people. But none of the original globe theatre is in existence. Today there is a new modern-day reconstruction of the globe theatre that opened in 1997.
